Wayfinding & Maps

A collection of mapping, photography and wayfinding projects developed in Kuala Belait and Seria, Brunei. As part of a team creating a Brunei Shell Petroleum nature walk around the Shell camp, I researched and photographed local flora and fauna, from the beach through woodland and into the surrounding jungle, and designed the maps and wayfinding materials to help visitors navigate the route and discover the environment around them.

I also independently created practical maps for new expatriate arrivals, mapping Kuala Belait and Seria to help people find their way around the housing development, local shops, services and other amenities. The work combined research, cartography and information design to make unfamiliar environments easier to navigate and understand.
